While it wasn’t unusual for Hodges Trucking to use lattice boom cranes in the past, the addition of the lattice boom crawler 110-ton LinkBelt crane is the first crawler-type crane in Hodges fleet in several years. “We’ve always used truck-mounted cranes due to the ease of transportation and setup”, explained Steve Fisbeck, Crane Manager. Hodges is now venturing into areas where lattice boom cranes are more highly sought after. “Due to the softer terrain in the Haynesville shale in Louisiana and East Texas, we’re adapting to the surroundings by adding the necessary equipment to our fleet”, said President Joe Hodges.
